A 3.5-metric-ton minibus with up to 9 seats, including the driver, can generally be driven with a Category B driver's license. For vehicles with more than 9 seats, a D1 driver's license is required.

Yes. In Switzerland, there is a legal exception for electric vehicles weighing up to 4.25 metric tons. The additional weight of the battery is taken into account, so that such vehicles may continue to be driven with a Category B license under certain conditions. This regulation applies exclusively to vehicles with alternative drive systems and not to comparable vehicles with internal combustion engines.
